Terms of service.

These terms govern your use of ShiftReady. By signing up you agree to them. We've tried to keep them short and plain-English. If anything is unclear, email hello@shiftready.com.au.
Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under the Australian Consumer Law. Where these terms conflict with a consumer guarantee you have under the ACL, the ACL wins.
1. The service
ShiftReady lets you upload documents, generates training modules from them using AI, and sends those modules to your staff to complete. We review and iterate the product regularly — features can change, and we'll tell you about material changes before they take effect.
2. Your account
You're responsible for what happens under your account. Keep your password safe. If someone else signs up a business that isn't yours, tell us immediately.
3. Your content
You own what you upload. We get a narrow licence to host it, process it, and generate training from it — only so we can provide the service. That licence ends when you delete the content or close the account.
We don't train AI models on your content. See our privacy policy for detail.
You're responsible for making sure you have the right to upload whatever you upload. Don't upload anything that infringes someone else's copyright, is illegal, or contains someone else's personal information they haven't consented to being used for your training.
4. Acceptable use
Don't use ShiftReady to:
- Break the law
- Harass, threaten, or harm people
- Distribute malware or attempt to breach our systems
- Resell the service or white-label it without a written agreement
- Generate content designed to deceive workers about their legal rights or workplace safety
If you do, we may suspend or close your account without notice.
5. Pricing & payment
Pricing is shown on our pricing page. All amounts are in Australian Dollars and GST-inclusive.
Trial. You get 14 days free. We ask for a card on file at signup so there's no break in service on day 15, but nothing charges until the trial ends. Cancel any time before then and you pay nothing.
Billing. After the trial, the subscription renews monthly on the same day as signup. You can cancel at any time from your account — cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
Founding 100 price lock. If you sign up in the Founding 100 window at $39/month AUD, that price stays locked for the life of your subscription. Locked pricing ends if you cancel and later re-subscribe.
Refunds. We don't pro-rate refunds for partial months, but we will refund in full if ShiftReady is materially broken and we can't fix it within a reasonable time — and of course, any refund required by the ACL.
6. Uptime & support
We aim for 99.5% monthly uptime for the core service. Email support responses during AU business hours (Monday–Friday, 9am–5pm AEST) usually within 1 business day. Onboarding calls included on the Team plan.
7. Your staff's data
When you add staff to ShiftReady you're acting as the controller of their personal information. You need a lawful basis under the Privacy Act to collect their email or phone number and use it for training. We process that data as your service provider.
8. Closing your account
You can close your account at any time from settings or by emailing us. We delete your data 30 days after close unless you ask us to delete immediately. Billing records are retained 7 years for ATO compliance.
9. Liability
To the extent permitted by law (and subject to the ACL), our total liability for any claim relating to ShiftReady is limited to the fees you've paid us in the 12 months before the claim. We aren't liable for indirect or consequential losses.
Nothing in this section excludes or limits any consumer guarantee under the Australian Consumer Law that can't be excluded.
10. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. If the changes are material we'll email you at least 30 days before they take effect. Non-material changes (typo fixes, clarifications) take effect immediately.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Queensland, Australia. Any dispute is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Queensland.
